Discover the Domaine de la Trigalière

Introduction to the domaine

’Once upon a time, at the Domaine de la Trigalière’ were 1,200 hectares of wild and romantic woodland, full of stags, deer, roe deer and foxes living in freedom.

It’s the perfect venue for a perfect wedding. What every Big Day needs is a fairytale setting and a touch of history!

You can also get away from it all by booking one of the Domaine’s ten holiday homes! Or what about a residential seminar for your company! Whatever the purpose of your day, you can book the entire Domaine for your exclusive use, for around 100 guests.

The magnificent King François 1 oak has witnessed five centuries of galloping horsemen and glorious hunting. It saw Charles IX, the mad king and grandson of François 1, switching packs of hounds in front of the chapel of Sainte-Christine. These ancient and noble oaks witnessed the Renaissance itself. For them the young Trigalière, built in 1840, is but an amusing latecomer, a mere stripling.
In the mid-19th century, the then owners built Le Cottage, a picturesque hunting pavilion and its outbuildings, a row of ten houses.

Le Cottage, an appealing red brick and white stone residence, stands proud amid a 1,200 hectare forest. The main entrance is on the ground floor of a little tower with a pointed roof. At its summit, a steeple complete with bell and clock overlooks the statue of Saint Hubert, patron saint of huntsmen. The stone stag heads on the façade look enviously on as their live counterparts feast on the white clover growing outside Le Cottage.
